About Me

Who am I? I am Amy, the owner, designer and creator of Homecoming Mums by Amy. I am a bow maker turned mum designer. I have been making bows for over 20 years and designing mums for the last 15 years. I have been married for 24 years to the love of my life and we have a son and daughter.

How did my home become mum land? I began making hair bows 21 years ago when I was pregnant with our daughter. I was determined to have a bow to match every outfit she owned, and 8 months of bedrest gave me a lot of time to perfect my craft. A Texas girl has to accessorize, right and the bigger the bow the better the mommy. Over the years my bow customers grew up and bows turned to cheer bows and cheer bows turned to mums. I love getting to watch my customers grow up and the transition of my business has brought me so much joy!

What are things that make my heart happy? I am a Texas girl born in Lafayette, Louisiana. I LOVE the beach, have a VERY eclectic music playlist ranging from Patsy Cline to Snoop to Broadway. I am married to an architect who is my biggest supporter and number one fan.  He is also the best assistant designer. If you come by to pick up your order you might even catch him making a braid or two.  We love to travel and are always planning our next adventure. Life is short, I choose to live with a smile, and I never leave home without my red lipstick.
